Great for Summer Tent Camping July 7, 2009 Mark Epperson (Panora, IA USA) 22 out of 23 found this review helpful
Yes, the fan can be a little loud... but I LIKE that feature. When you're bike riding across the state of Iowa with 10,000 of your closest friends the fan can drown out all the little noises of your neighbors in their tents. But most importantly, it will keep you cool in the late July Iowa weather.
One of the best features of this fan over others like it, is that the battery pack plugs into the fan. When you break camp for the night you just unplug the battery pack and store it in your bags. With other fans the batteries remain in the fan and it is too easy for the switch to get bumped during travel leaving you with dead batteries at your next campsite.
A must have for your tent.
This rocks! Also can use an AC Adaptor April 1, 2010 S. Smithers (Ohio) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I got this and another fan 02 cool, this one really does the job for a small fan. It is a little noisy, but that helps to block out other people still up at other camp sites. Since it has a seperate battery pack, you can use an AC adapter, and it will run on the high setting, which is awesome. They should sell it with the adapter.
Great Item October 5, 2009 Traci (Concord, CA United States) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This camping ceiling fan worked so well. It is a must for the tent when it is hot, and you all know how tents get in the heat!!! This was amazing!!! I have camped for years and I have to admit that I was embarrassed at first for anyone to see that I had it, but I highly reccommend it.
Great fan! July 6, 2010 CincyMom (Cincinnati, OH) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this fan because we are planning on a lot of summer camping in the mid-west. We've used it one weekend so far. The temps were in the mid 70s at night, very humid and very stagnant. We used it in a 6-person tent with all the windows open, and it had just the right amount of air circulation to make an otherwise uncomfortable night bearable. Specs say there is a 20-hour battery life on high power (40-hours on low) - we used it on high for 2 full nights and didn't have any noticeable reduction in power, and its still going strong. Money well spent.
Also, to comment on the noise concerns - no doubt you can hear the fan, but its not incredibly loud. Its a steady droning that was good at drowning out the noise of the campground.
Eats batteries like a mofo May 25, 2010 brickfrenzy (Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
But it does a great job of getting air circulating in your tent or unpowered trailer. Better buy stock in Duracell, though.
