Great tent March 10, 2008 Kara (Indianapolis, IN) This is a great tent. One person can set it up easily and it's pretty roomy. It would fit 4 people but it would be much more comfortable as a 3 person tent. I wouldn't recommend this as a backbacking tent as it is a bit heavy, but for extended periods of camping it's great.
Great Tent for the Price September 29, 2008 spottydog57 (Florida) We bought this tent last fall. It went up easy. We ran into rain and wind and this tent withheld all the weather elements with no problems.
We have been very please with this purchase.
A great tent June 27, 2007 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
Well it took 15 min. to set up the tent for the first time which isn't that bad. Then I took my hose a sprayed my tent and I forgot to close the window on the bottom of the wall. so water got in throught there. Also I forgot to take off my shoes, so there were shoe prints in there too. I like how the fly goes over the door, so the door wont leak. The fly is taped, and the floor wont leak. Ive had other colemans for 6 years and they havent leaked yet. you can trust coleman.
Mostly Good July 22, 2007 A. Atzrott (Rochester, NY) 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
Tent went up fairly easy, nothing excessively complicated. It was very easy to open, no odd flaps for the zipper to get stuck on. The tent was up for four days and three nights. It rained every night. It held up great against the light rain, but the third night came with a wicked storm. The rain came down like the tent was being sprayed with a fire hose. I got dripped on a few times, one of the sides was a bit wet at the bottom and when morning came I noticed my dog's bedding was a bit wet. Tent held up nicely against the wind, though, and it did not flood like some tents would have in that kind of rain.
The roof of the tent is completely mesh. The rain fly covers it, but does not protect from cold summer nights. Also, the covers of the two mesh windows only zip up the sides, leaving the top open for the wind to come through. The door covers DO zip all the way around, but there are mesh bits above the door that are NEVER covered which means you can say goodbye to your privacy.
The tent fit myself on a twin air mattress, my German Shepherd's large crate, and a duffel bag, with enough space for a couple of extra bags and for my dog's crate door to open. I believe that it could fit 4 people without gear and 3 people with limited gear (no mattresses).
Overall, a good tent I would use again, but only if the weather forecast is good.
Easy setup May 1, 2010 Lana Caldwell (Winston Salem, NC) I found this tent at Target on clearance for $20. My kids and I camped out in the backyard one night. Of course it rained so we found out the tent leaked, but only near the small cooler area and it was a considerable down pour. The leaking seemed to be confined to that one area and wasn't that bad, but would prefer no leaks. Overall, nice tent, easy to setup and has great ventilation.
